Junior Project Manager
The Junior Project Manager supports the Project Manager in management of construction projects. They work closely with our Project Team. The Junior Project Manager is responsible for supporting the Project Manager in planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of a project. The Junior Project Manager helps plan and designate project resources, develop budgets and monitor progress. This position supports the Project Manager who oversees the project from schedules, preconstruction and construction project phases, and manages milestones and durations throughout. The position communicates project specs with all levels from D3 Development Group’s field management to executive management and externally with clients, subcontractors and vendors.
Essential Job Functions:
Supports Project Manager in management of construction projects working closely with the Project Team.
Assists with planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of a project.
Monitors that proper Company procedures are being followed on job sites.
Establishes, maintains, and fosters positive long-term relationships with all clients.
Supports Project manager in the preconstruction process to include site surveys and site walks, subcontractor’s selection, materials purchasing and preparation of client proposals.
Partners with the sales department to develop and generate change orders.
Assist with scheduling through preconstruction and construction phases, while managing milestones and durations throughout.
Assist with developing and preparing budgets and estimates for all stages of design from conceptual through final construction documents, plans and designates project resources, and monitors progress.
Assist with management of master schedules, project timelines and milestones.
Provides updates and weekly schedules for all current and prospective projects to owners/executive management.
Coordinate acquisitions of all required permits.
Verifies inspection schedules and reports.
Management of all subcontracts and change orders.
Prepares weekly client update reports for client and Company.
Other duties as assigned. Education, Experience and Skills
5 years’ experience with related project management experience or equivalent.
Proven track record of success with measurable achievements and leadership roles.
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the project.
Preconstruction process experience including site surveys and site walks, subcontractor selection and preparation of client proposals.
Scheduling, purchasing, estimating experience, as well as learning management of personnel, vendors, and subcontractors.
Experience with projects in the retail, fast-casual dining, quick-service dining, and hospitality sectors is preferred.
Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
Ability to perform costs to complete.
Proficient with computers and familiar with Microsoft Software Suite. Experience with Microsoft Project is preferred. Experience with ProCore, PlanGrid, and Blue Beam are a plus.
Demonstrates attention to detail, creative problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Able to identify a need, remove the barriers, and have the know how to make things happen.

Degree in construction management or a related field preferred.
Must possess or be able to obtain an appropriate state driver license prior to employment, along with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
